I have been working as either a freelance graphic designer or in the art/marketing department for 9 years now. In the past, I have completed projects involving the below designs or layouts.
• Logo Development
- I base my graphic decisions on what the business or individual goals are for products are the focus of those entities' needs
- My designs can have an illustrative feel or more type centric layout depending on the ideas of the person or business
- When first tackling a logo, I work on developing 3 different versions/styles of the logo for the customer to look through and discussed the positives or negatives of each. Once a logo is selected I further push and developed the chosen design to include any further ideas from myself or my clients.
- I also usually work to get 2 styles of the same logo to be used in varying scenarios.
- Usually, a business card is needed once a new logo is approved. I usually recommend a layout and local printer
• Icon Development
- Oftentimes a company will need icons or secondary graphics to support a subcategory within their company or service
- A icon is a graphic tool that illustrates a word or idea
• Typesetting
- I have created layouts/typesets large and small booklets alike. All while choosing the types and images needed
- I have created various posters, banners, postcards, etc. for a number of events
- I have laid out many 4 pages or 2-page informational flyers.
• Social Media Graphics
- Often times I am commissioned to get complimentary social media graphics to support the business or a current promotion being taken on by my clients
- I have created 2d digital graphics, 3d motion graphics. The sky is the limit
• Branding Guides
- When a client is interested in a logo they are also in need of other graphic tools to succeed in implementing a new logo
- Branding Guides include a list of colors and fonts or typefaces used in the design.
- Branding Guides should also include any icons, social media graphics as well as the logo.
- Branding Guides should also include the logo/s in black and white and in various file formats with an explanation on when to use each file.
• Creative Tools
- I will use any and all software to get a job done
- I excel at using Adobe Indesign. This is where I lay out any type or insert multiple images into a file.
- Adobe Illustrator is where I using build all of my graphics or illustrator aspects of a design. I'm highly proficient with this software
- I sometimes use Adobe Lightroom to adjust the coloring of an image. I have a general knowledge of this tool.
- Adobe Photoshop is where I change the size or even change a picture or an aspect of a picture. I also have a general use of this software
