Accomplice Train Mural

9x9 Mural at Accomplice Beer Company, Cheyenne Wy, 2016

I was asked to create a permanent mural at Accomplice Beer Company which is a brewery located inside the Historic Train Depot in Cheyenne, WY. With Wyoming, beer, and trains on my mind, I created this scene using pastels on a black background. The mural took 4 days of being on scaffolding and 2 boxes of pastels. It is the largest piece I have made to this day at approximately 8 feet wide and 9 feet tall.

In the piece, you have images of the red rocks of Wyoming and an old Big Boy-style train that appears to be resting from its glory days in a field of Wyoming-grown grain. These images were chosen to give the viewer a feeling of peacefulness and are a nod to the past use of the building as a train depot and the current use of it as a brewery.
